Duplo DC646 Slitter/Cutter/Creaser

Now in stock at Glendale we have this refurbished Duplo DC646 Slitter/Cutter/Creaser. The sheet count is very low for this machine and belts, rollers and covers have been replaced. Also included is the optional RTM module which offers perforation, strike perfroation, slitting and scoring along the length of the sheet. This DC646 is in perfect working condition and can be demonstrated at our Sunderland premises.

The DC-646 comes equipped with a marginal slitter module, 2 centre slitter modules, a creaser tool and a cross knife tool, as standard. The optional RTM module, which is included in this DC646 can perf, skip perf, slit-score, microperf/score in the paper feed direction (sheet length), all in a single pass. This enables operator to produce up to 8 slits through the length of the sheet, 25 cross-cuts and 20 creases in a single pass. 

The DC-646 uses a single CCD camera to read the barcode and registration mark. With 5 settings and suitable for any digital press, the system automatically identifies jobs and sets up the tooling to the printed registration mark. This compensates for image drift and ensures the processed sheet is finished perfectly every time. Furthermore, the barcode reader allows total automation for many finishing jobs to be loaded and finished without operator requirement.

The DC-646 has a unique feeding mechanism for precise and accurate feeding. This reduces the risk of damaging the printed sheet by using a combination of multiple air vents to lift and separate the sheets from the top of the 100mm high capacity unit. The top sheet is picked up and fed by vacuum using a super wide feed head and registers to a side lay that is adjustable for image skew. 

When designing the DC-646 Duplo wanted to ensure that it minimalizes operator intervention and system downtime. The DC-646 therefore has an open architecture to prevent any clogging. The waste from the sheet passes through to the large bin to allow longer runs between unloading. Additional modules are neatly stored on hangers on the outer body of the DC-646. This will not only increase the life of the modules but also keep your finishing room organised and tidy.

Rotary Tool Module (RTM)

The RTM offers two independently controlled tools which allow users to easily switch between combinations of scoring, perforating, micro-perforating and slit-scoring. In addition, the RTM has the ability to automatically raise and lower the tools, creating a non-contiguous strike or skip perforation along the sheet.
