The DB280 user-friendly, automatic perfect binder, brings professional perfect binding in a compact machine. It’s the ideal solution for short run, on demand requirements. Coupled with our Digital Glue, the bind quality is remarkable.
This perfect binder is a 2nd User machine which has only been used within a public sector implant. It has been serviced since new and is in excellent condition.
The DB280 provides an ergonomic control panel for easy operation, without the need for skilled operators. A simple push of the button changes settings for binding, padding and notching. The binding process includes a double pass over the notching system to ensure excellent glue penetration, in turn creating a stronger bind.
The DB280 features two glue drums which provide additional glue capacity. The amount of glue applied to the book can be altered on the run, meaning productions times are kept fast. The DB280 uses a uniquely designed nipping mechanism that applies a powerful nipping pressure and produces a precise book spine of professional quality. The nipping tables press the wrap-around cover on all three sides of the spine to ensure a square spine finish.
